Hart and Hometown’s Norwalk Return

Josh Hart and R+L recruiters meet with people

Josh Hart and the R+L recruiting team met with job applicants, fans and local community members

Top Fuel racer Josh Hart returned to Norwalk, Ohio, in late June, gearing up for an R+L Carriers recruiting event and his much-anticipated Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals race. R+L Carriers maintains a bustling service center adjacent to the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park, providing opportunities for Hart to flex both his racing and recruiting skills. Last year, he headlined a similar June Norwalk appearance, aimed at drawing prospective applicants to R+L Carriers.

Hart wasn’t alone in his visit, sharing the venue with many R+L recruiters and the R+L Carriers Hometown Showcase hauler. An icon of R+L Carriers career outreach, the hauler is stocked to the brim with company memorabilia and tells the story of R+L Carriers and its employees. A GOOD TIME FOR RECRUITERS, RACERS AND FANS

The R+L recruiting team took some time to discuss open positions in logistics, including drivers, freight handlers, mechanics, information technology staff and sales, to name a few. Prospective applicants also had the chance to ask questions surrounding company culture, as well as fill out job applications. Josh Hart was a major draw for fans and future employees alike, posing for photos alongside his iconic dragster.

Many visitors took the opportunity to browse several interactive features within the R+L Carriers Hometown Showcase. The hauler hosts multiple kiosks dedicated to exploring R+L Carriers and its affiliates. One of the most prominent display pieces contains a replica of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Trophy, awarded each year to the winning team.

HART MOTORS TO THE FINALS

June 23 marked the beginning of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, as well as a chance for Josh Hart to claim another Top Fuel win. After finding similar success in North Carolina and Arizona, Hart reached the Sunday semifinals for the third time out of 10 races this year. He faced stiff competition in the final race, ultimately falling to now four-time season winner, Mike Salinas.

After the race, Hart praised his crew and fans, thanking them for their support. His machine delivered a 3.783 mark at 325.37 mph, earning his second-place finish. However, the season is far from over, with Hart set to appear at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals July 15-17 in Morrison, Colorado.
