The R+L Carriers Hometown Showcase and sponsored dragster car in Norwalk, Ohio
The R+L Carriers Hometown Showcase made its 2021 debut this week, motoring into the company’s Norwalk, Ohio, service center. Monday, June 21, attendees were treated to a 3-in-1 event, including an employee cookout, National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) driver meet-and-greet and a recruiting session hosted by R+L Carriers staff.
A Closer Look
The Norwalk service center is located directly across from Summit Motorsports Park, a local racing venue. This weekend, R+L-sponsored driver, Josh Hart, will compete in the Top Fuel Dragster class of the NHRA Nationals. R+L Carriers welcomed many people from the community, eager to see the car and meet the driver. Burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, and R+L logo cookies were aplenty for visitors, as well as R+L employees.

Several prospective applicants also learned about logistics careers; including open positions for drivers, freight handlers, mechanics, information technology staff and sales, to name a few. Afterwards, attendees were able to ask questions about company culture and fill out job applications.
Many visitors took the opportunity to browse several interactive features within the R+L Carriers Hometown Showcase. The hauler hosts multiple kiosks dedicated to exploring R+L Carriers and its affiliates. One of the most prominent display pieces contains a replica of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Trophy, awarded each year to the winning team.
Throughout the day, R+L Carriers staff handed out footballs, stadium seats and other branded memorabilia. The team even brought out the cornhole set for folks to enjoy a game or two. Overall, many connections were made and numerous visitors learned more about R+L Carriers.
